By Hyundai Motor India has just launched the new Creta Summer Edition, bringing premium features to the more affordable variants. Starting at Rs 12.06 lakh (ex-showroom), this special edition focuses on high-end tech like 360-degree cameras and dashcams, making them accessible to a wider range of buyers.
With over 1.4 million happy customers in India, the Creta is already the undisputed king of mid-size SUVs. This new update ensures it stays ahead of rivals like the Kia Seltos and Maruti Grand Vitara by offering the latest safety features.
What is New in the Creta Summer Edition?
The updates are spread across six different trims: EX, EX(O), S(O), S(O) Knight, SX, and SX Premium. Here is a quick breakdown of what you get in each:
- EX Variant: Now gets a Smart Key and Push-button Start, which was previously missing in this trim.
- EX(O) Variant: This gets a massive lighting upgrade with Quad-beam LED Headlamps, LED Tail lamps, and DRLs. It also adds a rear camera and window sunshades.
- S(O) & Knight Edition: These variants now come with a factory-fitted Dashcam that supports mobile app connectivity and emergency recording.
- SX Variant: Gets the premium 10.25-inch Digital Instrument Cluster and a dashcam.
- SX Premium: The top-spec now features a Surround View Monitor (360 Camera), Blind Spot Monitoring, and Front Parking Sensors.

Engine and Performance
Mechanically, the Creta remains the same reliable SUV. You can choose between the 1.5L Petrol (115hp) or the 1.5L Diesel (116hp). It’s important to note that the Turbo-petrol engine is not available with the Summer Edition. Gearbox options include Manual, IVT (Automatic), and Torque Converter Automatic.
